Greenfield Natural Meat Co.™ has been carbon neutral since 2019 and is committed to reducing our footprint by 50% by 2025.
The steps we’re taking fall into four categories:
Avoid, reduce, replace and offset.
No matter the area of our business, we are avoiding activities that generate a lot of greenhouse gas emissions (GHG). Once we’ve made efforts to avoid, reduce, or replace where we can, we offset our remaining emissions. In doing so, we’ve invested in high quality, verifiable projects throughout North America to bring our net carbon footprint to zero. These projects include forestry, biomass, landfill gas, renewable energy and composting. Greenfield Natural Meat Co.™ is committed to following Science Based Targets, which are emission reduction targets aligned to the goals of the Paris Agreement on Climate Change and approved by an independent third-party.
